MEETING RECAP: January Minutes from Bluegrass Sportsplex

Did you miss our January meeting? No problem. We have a quick recap of this meeting's minutes from 2020 Secretary Kyle Souleyrette right here on the YPN blog. The meeting was held at Bluegrass Sportsplex with owners Todd & Cameron Davis and general manager Bryan Reesor. Read on to hear about what we went over and how you can participate in what BG Sportsplex has to offer.

Bluegrass Sportsplex is the premier indoor sports and events venue in central Kentucky and conveniently located near Interstate 65. They are home to a multi-use turf field, three full size basketball courts which can convert into five volleyball courts, meeting and party rooms, concessions and much more. They offer leagues, clinics, and tournaments for kids of all ages.  Players can participate year-round in our climate-controlled facility.

Growing up in Elizabethtown, Todd Davis had the idea for the complex. He tried to talk his dad into building a soccer complex, and now he finally got to do it himself. It's definitely an amazing idea for the local community: They've just opened and already have 220 kids signed up for the soccer academy. In addition to soccer, the volleyball academy is for children 3rd through 5th grade and then youths 6th through 12th grade. Local, community coaches are involved in the program. Bluegrass Sportsplex is the ideal location for your next event or birthday party.  With their 103,000 square foot facility, they have the size, equipment and versatile space to meet your needs. Host your next party or event at Bluegrass Sportsplex. They offer plenty of event space and meeting room rentals, inflatables and drinks.

The main purpose of the facility is to be a partnership with the community. There are adult leagues as well. Soccer and volleyball are already happening; basketball is coming. Whether you are wanting to compete, play or try something new, you can join one of their new Adult Sports Leagues or participate in open play. Crossfit Elizabethtown is renting space and CKA Tumble & Cheer will be on the other side of the building once construction is complete. They will also have batting cages and baseball training in the back of the facility.

One of things they are most excited about is keeping athletes local. Instead of having to drive to Louisville for a facility and training, it will now be provided in Elizabethtown. They seek to compliment what is already going on in Elizabethtown.
